Middle-Grade Fantasy Writer

My mom taught me to love the written word. I have countless memories of her reading books. She also cheered me on as I wrote stories of real life and fictional characters, always encouraging me as a writer. She has been my biggest fan. Later I found a love of dragon fantasy books deciding to have my hand at them as I worked to become a middle grade fantasy writer. 

As I got older, I realized I come from a long line of word lovers, as my grandma read more than a book a week in her last years. Although she probably would have never read anything I wrote, stories about dragons were not her thing, I can hear her voice as she would say, "good job," as I continue working towards becoming a published author. 

I am a published author in the non-fiction world with more articles than I can remember writing. 

As of now, I believe I have over 250 articles for which I still receive commissions.

I have not published any fiction works yet, but I hope to soon share my stories about dragons. I am working hard on a middle-grade fantasy about a girl who learns to find her voice after being chosen to become a DragonMate. I hope it will become a favorite among many other dragon fantasy books.

Being a writer does not feel like something I strive to be, but rather who I am to my core.
