Agnes Wolfe began Authors’ Alcove on September 13, 2023, when she realized it was time to take her writing journey seriously and create a space centered around the stories she loved. Since then, Authors’ Alcove has evolved through several seasons of growth, eventually becoming what it is today — a welcoming place where authors and readers can gather to talk about the love of story.
From the beginning, it was important to Agnes to create opportunities for authors to introduce their books to new readers, while also helping readers discover stories they might never have encountered otherwise. That mutual connection between writer and reader remains at the heart of Authors’ Alcove.
For readers, Authors’ Alcove offers an opportunity to discover new books and connect with the people who wrote them. For authors, it provides a comfortable space to share their work and creative journeys in a way that feels natural, conversational, and personal.
Authors’ Alcove lives primarily on YouTube, where conversations with authors are shared, with written reflections and updates continuing on Substack. Together, these spaces form a simple home for story-centered conversation and community. As Authors’ Alcove continues to grow, Agnes is intentionally focusing her presence in these two welcoming spaces, inviting those who love stories to connect through YouTube and Substack.

Agnes Wolfe is a middle-grade fantasy author, podcast host, and lifelong lover of story. Beyond her creative work, she is a mother of four, a grandmother of one, and has spent years as a homeschool mom, teacher, and tutor, shaping her deep appreciation for imagination, learning, and the power of stories in young lives.
As the creator and host of Authors’ Alcove, Agnes is passionate about building community, offering encouragement, and creating spaces where people can share their love of books and storytelling. Her work is rooted in connection — between readers and authors, stories and experiences, and creativity and everyday life.
Agnes is currently preparing to publish her debut novel, The Peacemaker’s War. Set in the fantasy world of Havilah, the story follows a girl who, after centuries of unrest, is chosen by the dragon prophesied to bring peace. What she soon discovers, however, is that sometimes in order to make peace, you need to start a war.
