My love for the written word began with my mom, who filled my childhood with stories, reading endlessly and cheering me on as I scribbled down tales of real-life adventures and imaginary characters. She’s always been my biggest fan, encouraging me every step of the way. As time passed, I fell under the spell of dragon-filled fantasy, deciding to try my hand at writing middle-grade fantasy—dragons included, of course!
It turns out, a love of words runs in the family. My grandma, a true bookworm, read more than a book a week in her final years. Though dragons weren’t her thing, and she probably wouldn’t have picked up my work, I can still hear her voice saying, "good job," as I journey toward becoming a published author.
As a mom, I started reading dragon filled stories to the OG, who now has given me a grandson, and continue to do the same with her three little sisters, two of which are twins. I also am married to my biggest supporter and have an aging blind fire-breathing rat-terrier
Join Our 2024 Book Club
The first week of every month, you will receive a book, an Author's Alcove goodie, a bookmark, and a treasure chosen by the author! The first Monday of the following month, we will meet 8 cst with the author where we get to discuss that month's book, and ask the author any of our most eager questions!
